Fisher Price Recalls 2010 – Fisher Price has recalled more than 10 million toys after concerns were raised that the products were not safe. Included in the recall are a number of different kinds of trikes, that usually bear the character Dora the Explorer on the frame of the bike, and a number of high chairs that have a protruding peg to the back of the high chair that has injured several children who attempted to climb out.

The trikes have had ten different reports of injuries while using the product. The trike features a fake, plastic ignition key that protrudes near the seat. Children have been running into the ignition key, or even falling on it when attempting to climb onto the bike. At least six children have required medical attention after being injured while riding the trike. It will be interesting to see if this recall is as damaging to Fisher Price as the recent recall of the Similac Children’s Baby Formula.

Along with the trikes, the company is also recalling their Healthy Care, Easy Clean and Close to Me High Chairs. The chairs have a protruding peg on the back of the chair that can cause problems if the children attempt to climb out of the chair. So far, six children have needed stitches after hitting themselves on the peg. The recall shows that the company is dedicated to ensuring their customers remain safe while using their products.
