Police searching for suspect in second bank robbery
From the Austin Police Department:
Austin Police officers responded to a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo Bank, 3949 S Lamar Blvd. A suspect entered the bank and demanded cash. No weapon was displayed and there were no injuries. He left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect is described as: Hispanic or White Male 5’10” -6ft Dark collar length hair Late 20’s Scruffy beard and mustache
He was last seen wearing a camouflage cap with orange writing on the front, light polo style shirt, and blue jeans. He left carry a large black bag with a Bank of America logo on it. He fled the scene on foot.
This case remains under investigation by APD Robbery detectives. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Robbery tip line at (512) 974-5092, Crime Stoppers at 472-TIPS or text “Tip 103” + your message to CRIMES. You may be eligible for a cash reward of up to ,000 if your tip leads to an arrest or charges being filed. This is the 18th bank robbery of 2010.
